Get Carter: Above are the first publicity stills from Sylvester Stallone and Rachel Leigh Cook's upcoming drama, "Get Carter", which opens in October. Thanks to WBMovies.

Spider-Man: It was rumored on Friday and now, it's a story today. Tobey Maguire has been confirmed to be in final negotiations to play the role of the webslinging Spider-Man for Sony/Columbia's big-screen adaptation of the Stan Lee comic. Maguire reportedly auditioned for the role last week and nailed what he needed to do.

In rumored news, 4Filmmakers.com (the people who first broke the story of Maguire's involvement) is now reporting that Nicolas Cage is interested in taking on the role of the villain, The Green Goblin.

Ghost of Mars: Famke Janssen has reportedly declined to replace Courtney Love in the John Carpenter sci-fi/horror flick. So who's next in line? Sources on the Net are saying that Natasha Henstridge, who starred in the "Species" series, will be taking on the vacant role. Shooting begins next week.

Catch Me If You Can: Leonardo DiCaprio is in final negotiations to star in DreamWorks' "Catch Me if You Can,'' a con man tale that will likely begin production by mid-March 2001. The picture will tell "the incredible, but true, tale of Frank Abagnale Jr., who impersonated so many people and kited so many checks between 1964 and 1966 that he won the dubious distinction of being the only teenager ever placed on the FBI's 10 most wanted list. The charming rogue passed himself off as a Pan Am co-pilot, and flew more than 2 million miles without paying a cent. But then, Abaganale often had good reason to make a speedy getaway: during that same time he also pretended to be the chief resident pediatrician at a Georgia hospital, Louisiana's assistant attorney general and a professor of American history at a French university. By the time he was apprehended, Abagnale had written $6 million in bad checks in all 50 states and in 26 foreign countries -- all before his 18th birthday." DiCaprio begins work on this picture after shooting "Gangs of New York" for Martin Scorsese. Thanks to Reuters.

Blair Witch 2: book of shadows: Ted from the Diabolical Dominion sends us a non-spoilerish plot synopsis of the tightly guarded "Blair Witch" sequel opening this Halloween. According to them, the story revolves around Jeff Donovan who has come up with a money making scheme to cash in on the local Blair Witch legend by offering tourists tours of the Black Hills. Four college students take the tour and come across the home of Rustin Parr, a notorious killer from the 1940's that blamed his acts on the Blair Witch and was hanged. After setting up camp for the night, the group suddenly awaken to find they cannot remember the five previous hours and head back to Donovan's residence where stuff begins to happen such as visions, strange child voices and carvings appearing on their bodies - they've brought back something with them.

The Crow: Lazarus: Despite the fact that "The Crow: Salvation" hasn't even been released widely yet, plans are already in place to move forward with a fourth film in "The Crow" series. Rapper DMX has committed to star in "The Crow: Lazarus". Dimension is reportedly interested in using DMX for even mroe sequels. "I am very excited about my involvement in The Crow: Lazarus," DMX said. "I like the story line and I can identify with the character." Lazarus, written by James Gibson, is about a hard-living rap artist who leaves the music scene for a woman. Soon after, he is killed in a drive-by shooting. He comes back from the grave to seek revenge on the biker gang responsible for his murder. Thanks to Cinescape.

Jason X: Also from the Diabolical Dominion comes a new shot of Kane Hodder from the new "Friday the 13th" movie, "Jason X". Click on the image on the right for a larger version.
