Minority Report: While Steven Spielberg finishes work on "A.I.", Frank Darabont ("The Shawshank Redemption", "The Green Mile") has been brought in to do a script polish on the troubled sci-fi/action picture. This action was taken to ensure that Spielberg and Tom Cruise would be able to begin work on it in the spring of 2001.

Ten Things I Hate About Clueless Roadtrips When I Can't Hardly Wait to Be Kissed: Columbia Pictures has purchased this spec script from Buddy Johnson and Phil Beauman, two of the principle screenwriters for "Scary Movie" (formerly titled "Last Summer I Screamed Because Friday the 13th Fell on Halloween"). Obviously, the script is targeted towards the teenage genre in general.

Jurassic Park 3: Steven Spielberg may be receiving a huge paycheck...and he doesn't even have to direct to earn it. Sources claim that Spielberg, as producer, will earn 20 percent of the "first dollar gross" that the film takes at the box office - about half of the total box office. Spielberg may earn as much as $240 million, given the success of the first two "Jurassic" films. Directing duties have been assigned to Joe Johnston.

In rumored news, a New Zealand newspaper is claiming that Helen Hunt, Elizabeth Shue, and Chris Klein will have roles in the next JP film, as well as Richard Attenborough and Jeff Goldblum.

Hardball: John Hawkes ("The Perfect Storm") has been cast opposite Keanu Reeves and Diane Lane in Paramount Pictures' "Hardball", according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project is slated to start shooting in Chicago on Monday with director Brian Robbins at the helm. "Hardball," based on the Daniel Coyle book "Hardball: A Season in the Projects," is about a ticket scalper (Reeves) who ends up coaching a Little League team in the Chicago housing projects, where he is transformed by mentoring the children. Lane will play the role of a teacher who works in the inner city, while Hawkes was cast as Reeves' best friend and fellow ticket scalper.

The Watcher: Formerly titled "Driven", the trailer for the James Spader and Keanu Reeves action-drama has now been released to the Net. Click on the link below to go to the official movie website.
