| The
Matrix 2 & 3: Hong
Kong action star Jet Li has been rumored for months as
to having a role in the next Matrix film. But who
says rumor has no truth to it? The Hollywood Reporter
reports that because of Li's interest in the films,
the Wachoski brothers are apparently courting to get him
a role. The directors are apparently "keen on making a
deal" with producer Joel Silver in agreement.
On
the same lines, the trade reports that Carrie Anne-Moss
and surprisingly, Hugo Weaving (the head Agent), have
now closed the deal and both will be back in their respective
roles.
Terminator
3: Here's
a follow-up to our Terminator 3 story which was
reported on Monday...it
now appears that Linda Hamilton would return ONLY if
her ex-husband, director James Cameron, is attached
to do the project again. Keep in mind that this is the
same condition Arnold Schwarzenegger is giving and given
the slim chance that Cameron will have anything to do
with the future Terminator films, look for an
entirely new cast to be blasting your theaters next
year.
K-9-3:
If
you're like everyone else, you probably have the burning
question in your mind: What's James Belushi up to these
days? Well, this was just sent to me, courtesy of 'Clint
Morris': In an interview with Sophie Vander in "Movies
Plus" magazine, Belushi revealed that he is writing
scripts these days, and one of the first ones that will
get rolling is "K-9 3" (or K-9111 as they may call it).
Belushi will reprise his role as Detective Michael Dooley,
and James (a mad German Shepherd lover in real life)
reveals that his own two dogs, Truly and Chooch, will
have "dog" cameos in the sequel.
Daredevil
& Dr. Strange: Even
though they have Spider-Man, Sony seems to not
to care about superhero flicks. The studio has now ended
its deal with Marvel and will no longer pursue to distribute
these two films. As of now, writer/director Mark Steven
Johnson and his producing partner Gary Foster are still
attached to the Daredevil project, while Dr.
Strange is still going ahead with pre-production.
Mission:
Impossible 2: After
the worldwide, unofficial release of the Limp Bizkit
MI2 theme song entitled "Product" which hit
Internet MP3 sites everywhere, Paramount seems to have
given up and have, themselves, released a copy of the
Limp Bizkit song themselves. You can now (legally, that
is) download a copy for your own listening enjoyment
in either Windows Media or Liquid Audio format at the
link below.
