The Hollywood Reporter reports that George C. Wolfe ("Lackawanna Blues") will direct the Jamie Foxx film "Blood on the Leaves," an adaptation of the novel by Jeffrey Stetson.

The book tells of a district attorney who deals with feelings of revenge as he prosecutes a black history professor on trial for the murders of white men accused of crimes against blacks during the Civil Rights movement. The studio is currently searching for a second male lead.

Foxx, Marcus King and Jaime Rucker King are producing through their Paramount-based Foxxhole banner.
