The Playstation 2 game "Shadow of the Colossus" will be adapted into a bigscreen film. Variety reports that Justin Marks will pen the screenplay and Kevin Misher will produce th eproject.

The videogame was released in 2005 and told of a man named Wander who travels across a wasteland to defeat 16 creatures known as the Colossi. His mission? To restore the life of a girl.

The trade reports that the film will build upon the fantasy setting and will use few characters outside of the 16 enemies.
