Sony/Columbia Pictures are developing a remake to "Total Recall," the 1990 sci-fi action film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Neal Moritz and his Original Films banner will produce the project.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the remake will be a contemporary version that will also be based on the Phillip K. Dick story "We Can Remember It for you Wholesale." The film told of a man who has a recurring dream about visiting Mars through a company that sells implanted memories. Not knowing if his memories are real or implanted, he is led to believe that he is a secret agent and tries to fight a ruler who is trying to control the production of air.
