Kevin Lima has been brought to direct a big screen adaptation of the Hasbro board game "Candy Land" for Universal Pictures. Variety reports that Etan Coen ("Tropic Thunder") will pen the screenplay.

Hasbro has turned other franchise properties, such as "Transformers" and the forthcoming "G.I. Joe" film, into film properties already.
