Variety reports that "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart is set to join "The Runaways," a film biopic of the girl rock group from the 1970s. Stewart will star as Joan Jett.

The film will focus on the beginnings of the Runaways, whose members include Jett, Lita Ford and Cherri Currie.

Stewart will shoot the picture at the same time as "New Moon," the next "Twilight" movie.
