Ah, the beauty of the Internet.
Spoiler and script leaks on the Net can either be a good or a bad thing - good in the sense that sometimes, if a studio heads deem a script to be good but fans start their outcry over the bastardization of their beloved franchises (like in the case of "Superman" when McG and Brett Ratner were attached to direct), then the studio may pull the plug right away knowing that there will probably be no support for the project when it actually materializes.
Take the case of "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins." While McG went through this with his "Superman" project and how he changed items like Lex Luthor originating from Krypton, a possible spoiler leak that has hit the Net may force the project to turnaround all together.
We won't post the spoiler here (you can read it on AICN here and elaborated more on CHUD here) but we will say it may shock many fans of the "Terminator" franchise and may actually cause some outrage over what's going to happen with the character of John Connor (to be played by Christian Bale).
On the official "Terminator Salvation" website, McG has updated the blog with his daily post and mentions only one thing about the leaked spoiler:
"By the way, there are only three people who know the ending."
Could this be his attempt to persuade others not to believe what they read? Time will only tell...
