The Hollywood Reporter reports that Bryce Dallas Howard will replace Charlotte Gainsbourg in McG's "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins." Howard will take on the role of Kate Connor, wife of John Connor. Claire Danes played the role of Kate Brewster in "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines."

Shooting is currently taking place in New Mexico, with Christian Bale starring as John Connor and a supporting cast comprising of Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Common and Moon Bloodgood.

Assuming an actors' strike doesn't interrupt filming, the movie is being slated for a May 22, 2009 release.
