After Entertainment Weekly announced that Jonah Hill had dropped out of talks with Paramount/Dreamworks about co-starring in "Transformers 2" with Shia LaBeouf, it now appears that Hill will be exec producing a film adaptation of "21 Jump Street." "21 Jump Street" aired on Fox from 1987-1991 and launched the career of Johnny Depp.
Hill will develop the screenplay as a potential starring vehicle and serve as executive producer. Neal Moritz will produce the film with Stephen J. Cannell, who co-created and exec produced the series.
"21 Jump Street" told of a group of young police officers who worked undercover at high schools and colleges.
