Variety reports that Rapper Common has joined the cast of "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins" for Warner Bros. and director McG. He joins a cast which already comprises of Sam Worthington and Christian Bale. The fourth "Terminator" movie is being aimed for a May 22, 2009 release.

John Connor will be played by Bale and is set in the future where war is still continuing between man and machine. Common will play a freedom fighter against the machines  and a member of John Connor's inner circle.

John D. Brancato & Michael Ferris and Paul Haggis have penned the screenplay.
