The Hollywood Reporter reports that Danielle Panabaker has been cast as the female lead in the "Friday the 13th" remake, a project which Marcus Nispel is directing for Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes and New Line Cinema.

It was previously reported that Amanda Righetti was cast as the female lead in the film. No word yet on whether Panabaker is replacing Righetti or if they are in two separate roles.

Also joining the cast are Jonathan Sadowski, Travis van Winkle and Aaron Yoo. Jared Padalecki has already been cast as the lead male.
