Variety reports that  Dimension Films has purchased the rights to Ice Cube's new script, "Janky Promoters," for the rapper/actor to star in and produce. Cube Vision partner Matt Alvarez will co-produce the film as well.

Cube will play one of two music promoters who get the chance to book a top hip-hop artist into a midsized California venue but find that the task may be way over their heads.

No director has been named yet but casting will begin immediately for a shoot that will start in early summer.
