Variety reports that 20th Century Fox is setting June 12, 2009 as the release date for "The A-Team."  This puts the movie up against Eddie Murphy's "Nowhereland."

John Singleton will direct the feature but casting has not been announced yet. "The A-Team" television series ran from 1983 to 1987 and told the story of a team of a group of former Vietnam soldiers who drive around their van fighting bad guys.

Michael Brandt and Derek Haas ("3:10 to Yuma") wrote the most recent draft of the screenplay.
