The Hollywood Reporter reports that Michael Cera is in talks to join Universal Pictures' "Scott Pilgrim's Little Life." Edgar Wright ("Hot Fuzz") will direct the feature based on a screenplay by Michael Bacall and Wright.

The project is based on a graphic novel "Scott Pilgrim Volume 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life" by Bryan Lee O'Malley. The story tells of a young slacker (Cera) who falls in love with the woman of his dreams but can only win her heart if he battles and defeats her seven ex-boyfriends.

Shooting is being aimed for a fall start.
