The Hollywood Reporter reports that Anton Yelchin is in talks to join the fourth film in the "Terminator" saga, tentatively titled "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins." McG is directing based on a screenplay by David Campbell Wilson, John Brancato and Michael Ferris.

The movie is set in the future where machines have taken over the world and humans are fighting against artificial intelligence. Yelchin would play Kyle Reese (played by Michael Biehn in the first "Terminator" film). In the "Terminator" saga, Reese travels back in time to meet Sarah Connor and fathers a child named John Connor, who eventually becomes the leader of the resistance against the machines. Christian Bale will play the older John Connor in McG's "Terminator." Sam Worthington also costars in the film as well.
