
Variety reports that "Smallville" star Kristin Kreuk will join Rick Yune, Michael Clarke Duncan and Chris Klein in "Street Fighter," a new film adaptation of the classic fighting videogame. The project is being setup at 20th Century Fox for a March release.
Kreuk will take on the role of Chun-Li. Duncan will play Balrog, while Klein is stepping into the role of Nash. Yune is taking on the mystical Gen. Andrzej Bartkowiak ("Romeo Must Die," "Exit Wounds") is directing from a script written by "Voltron" scribe Justin Marks. Hong Kong fight choreographer Dion Lam ("The Matrix") is handling the extreme fight sequences.
The movie has no relation with the 1994 film starring Jean Claude Van Damme.
