Variety reports that Jessica Biel will join the thriller "Die a Little," a film based on the novel by Megan Abbott. Richard Gladstein is co-producing through his FilmColony production company with Biel's Iron Ocean Films.

Marcia and Geoffrey Blake are adapting the book which tells the story of a schoolteacher and her detective brother, and how their lives are affected by a mysterious woman.

While the book is set in 1954, the script will be updated to take place in the present day.
