Jeremy Renner to star in "28 Weeks Later"

Variety reports that Jeremy Renner ("S.W.A.T.") will star in "28 Weeks Later," a sequel to "28 Days Later" which was directed by Danny Boyle.

The movie takes place six months after the events of the first film where a zombie virus takes over most of the population of England. Special Forces is working to restore order and help bring people back to London but a carrier of the virus, unbeknownst to authorities, causes an outbreak once again.

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is directing from a script by Rowan Joffe. Andrew MacDonald, Andrew Garland and Danny Boyle produce.
