Steve Buscemi and Dan Akroyd join "Chuck and Larry"

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Steve Buscemi and Dan Akroyd have joined the cast of "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry," which stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Jessica Biel. Dennis Dugan will direct the movie for Universal Pictures.

The comedy tells of two heterosexual firefighters (Sandler and James) who pose as a gay married couple in order to qualify for their department's domestic-partner benefits.

Buscemi will play a city official who is assigned to keep a close eye on the couple and is hell bent on revealing their plan, while Aykroyd will play the fire department captain.
