ComingSoon.net (http://www.comingsoon.net) reports that Pierce Brosnan was interviwed by LA Confidential Magazine. In the article comes a surprising bombshell: Brosnan says that he did NOT tell Entertainment Weekly weeks ago that he has left the James Bond role for good.

"There was no announcement. I think the reporter heard it wrong. I think what I said was, 'I've had my fill of talking about Bond.'"

Brosnan goes on to say that "It was not an official announcement."
