In an attempt to imitate the success of "The Ring," ScreenDaily.com (http://www.screendaily.com) reports that Takashi Shimizu, who directed "Ju-On," will remake his horror film for audiences entitled "The Grudge." The U.S. project is being developed by Ghost House Pictures, the newly hatched genre label formed by Sam Raimi, Rob Tappert and Senator International. The trade reports that "Ju-On" "centers on a murderous supernatural curse, born of a grudge. The curse is passed, like a virus, from victim to victim in an endless, growing chain of horror." I haven't seen the film yet, but I have seen the trailer, and believe me when I say this: This isn't for the weak-hearted. Click here to check out the trailer. Video is a bit choppy because of the streaming quality, but you'll get a good idea of just how creepy this movie looks.
