In an interview with "X-Files" series creator Chris Carter, Cinescape (http://www.cinescape.com) reveals that his plans are to get the "X-Files" theatrical sequel up in theaters by 2004. Its definite [in so far] as everyone has expressed their desire to do it, including the studio, Carter said. I hope to write it over the summer, prep it over the fall and spring, and shoot it late spring and next summer. I think you would end up seeing it in 2004
I have rough ideas and Im sort of deciding what to do. "The X-Files 2" will be more of a continuation of the movie and not the television series. Once such difference will be that David Duchovny is set to reprise his role as Agent Mulder in the film.
