Tom's Buzz Report: No question here...this WILL BE the ultimate action experience of the summer.

The sequel to Brian DePalma's hit in 1996, however, has not come under much scrutiny. Since 1997, when Paramount announced its intentions to direct a sequel, production for the film kept being delayed due to Tom Cruise's involvement with Eyes Wide Shut. Once Hong Kong action director John Woo came on board, the troubles continued...

Shooting for the picture was initially delayed in the summer due to various crew members leaving production. The planned Thanksgiving 1999 film was then delayed to Summer 2000. Furthermore, it was rumored that John Woo and Tom Cruise had several "creative differences" on the set and that they could not agree on anything.

But with their troubles put behind, the film looks like it will be worth the long wait. The trailer provides much hope, with Limp Bizkit's awesome rendition of the theme song playing in the background. MI2 will unquestionable be a hit.
