SYNOPSIS From executive producer Thomas Chau, founder of CINEMA CONFIDENTIAL, comes a noir coming-of-age-story written and directed by CINEMA CONFIDENTIAL alumni Phil Van. In the wake of his mother's death, Elvis, a high-school dropout and Chinese restaurant busboy, finds that he must take care of his emotionally unstable father, Orland, by himself. When Orland 'digs up' the past - literally - Elvis must enlist the help of his despondent girlfriend to try to restore order to his chaotic and darkly absurd world. A CINEMA CONFIDENTIAL distribution, "Love in Vain" is a Mars Production starring Ben Williams, Kelly Hayes, and George Boyce. "Love in Vain" will be released online in April 2003.
